We have combined updated recommendations of the World Health Organization, central and state health authorities to reinforce hygiene and cleanliness protocols across our resort.

PUBLIC AREAS
- While Highland Beach Resort is easily accessible by road from major cities, we suggest arriving in the comfort and safety of your own vehicle. Alternatively, we are happy to arrange transportation for you.
- Highland Beach Resort boasts wide open gardens, spacious public areas and large rooms with excellent ventilation that ensure physical distancing with ease and lots of clean, fresh air.
- Our employees continually receive updated training on protocols for a safe and hygienic resort, with supervision to ensure correct implementation.
- We frequently fumigate and sanitize all parts of the resort using government-approved disinfectants effective against viruses, with keen attention paid to high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, latches, handles, switches, railings, etc.
- The resort enforces a body temperature check for every entry - visitor, guest or staff - using non-touch digital thermometers, and easy accessibility to alcohol-based sanitizers throughout the hotel.
- Our team is well-trained to safely implement a clear and explicit procedure to assist any guest or staff to a state-sanctioned medical center in case of COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, cold, fever, etc.
- Seating plans in all our public areas and restaurants have been revised to follow recommended physical distancing measures. Staff disinfect public spaces at frequent intervals and use sanitized gloves at all points of contact.
- All staff and guests are required to wear masks in public areas and are encouraged to frequently use the hand sanitizers available throughout the resort.
GUEST ROOMS
- All guest rooms are subject to deep-cleaning following departure using government-approved disinfectants, with special attention to items commonly touched by occupants such as door knobs, telephone handsets, switches, etc.
- All our guest rooms currently available for booking are spacious single bedroom or double bedroom apartments with balconies. Only two rooms are open for booking per floor, with a minimum of six feet distance between each entrance.
- All our guest rooms feature individual air conditioners. Highland Beach Resort does not use central air-conditioning, which is currently prohibited as a major step in flattening the curve.
STAFF PROTOCOL
- All laundry from guest rooms, restaurants and interior décor are cleaned using intense heat to ensure germs are killed and washed away before use.
- In staff-only areas, we continue to prioritize cleanliness, and disinfect these areas more often. Our guidelines ensure that only the minimum required number of people work together in one place, with physical distancing norms. All staff are provided with additional uniforms, and a constant supply of masks and gloves so they can be changed often.
- Produce including raw fruit, vegetables and other ingredients are cleaned according to expert guidelines, and tagged with a use-by date before being stored.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Highland Beach Resort understands your travel concerns during this time of uncertainty and supports you wholeheartedly with a flexible cancellation policy. All reservations made until 31st October 2020 can be changed or cancelled for free up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date.
